Join a Purpose-Driven Tourism Movement

The Code of Conduct program reflects the Costa Rican tourism industry’s commitment to preventing and sanctioning the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents associated with travel and tourism, as a cornerstone of responsible and sustainable tourism.

This initiative is based on ECPAT International’s (2000) The Code and the UNWTO’s Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. It was developed as a social responsibility project by the national tourism industry.
