CST Standard

This document provides background information and explains the purpose and importance of the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST) Standard. Through a verification process carried out within the company or organization, recognition is granted based on the level of sustainable tourism management achieved. This contributes to strengthening sustainable and responsible tourism at the destination while enhancing the organization’s competitiveness.The document also describes the dimensions assessed under the certification process: business management; social, economic, and cultural impact; environmental impact; and a set of specific indicators according to the type of tourism business being evaluated.
